2017 LanierWorld Opening Weekend
The much-anticipated return of summer comes a little earlier to the shores of Georgia’s Lake Lanier thanks to the opening of Lanier Islands’ beach, boardwalk and waterpark entertainment district – LanierWorld. Packing more than a half-mile stretch of white sandy beach, a tasty variety of restaurants and concessions, a five-story high HD Spectacular Screen, miniature golf course, over a dozen waterslides and attractions, and so much more, LanierWorld will open the floodgates to fun on Saturday, May 6. Celebrating an extended summer season this year, the park will be open on weekends through October 1, and open daily from May 22 through August 6.
For Opening Weekend at LanierWorld, the resort will host the 5K Foam Fest beginning at noon and a live performance by Ray Fulcher on the Sunset Stage from 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, May 6. The Foam Fest is a fun and challenging obstacle course that includes the world's largest inflatable waterslide, mud pits and 2.5 million cubic feet of foam. There is all day music, a kids' zone, delicious food, great vendors and beer gardens. Sunday, May 7 will boast a DJ in the early afternoon followed by a live performance by Johnny Summers on the Sunset Stage from 3 to 6 p.m. Both days will feature fun and games on the beach and appearances by LanierWorld mascot, Bucky the Beaver. LanierWorld will be open from 10am-9pm Saturday, May 6 and from 10am-7pm Sunday, May 7.
Daily general admission tickets are $41.99 for Adult / Child over 42" tall and $30.99 for Children Under 42” / Seniors 62+ years old. Active Military / Police / Fire Personnel (with valid photo ID) FREE (Individual only) +Children age 2 and under are FREE for LanierWorld access.
